In the vision of a just and inclusive New Syria, we must recognize that true national unity cannot be achieved without embracing the diversity of our people. Among the most marginalized communities—particularly the Kurds and the Druze—there has been a long history of political exclusion, discrimination, and grave human rights violations. These injustices must be acknowledged, and concrete steps must be taken to ensure a future built on equality, accountability, and reconciliation.
For too long, the Kurdish people have suffered from enforced disappearances, statelessness, and systemic repression. Their language, identity, and political participation have been restricted, denying them the fundamental rights that every Syrian deserves. Likewise, the Druze community has endured violent attacks and political suppression, targeted for its distinct beliefs and cultural heritage. These patterns of oppression must end. Justice demands that we recognize the crimes committed, hold perpetrators accountable, and guarantee protections for all.
A stable and democratic Syria must be a nation that values its diversity—not just in words but in action. Minority voices must be represented in every level of governance, and their rights must be enshrined in law. The rebuilding process is not just about infrastructure; it is about ensuring every citizen, regardless of ethnicity or religious background, has a place in shaping the nation's future.
Let us move forward with determination, guided by principles of fairness and inclusion. Only through unity in diversity can we forge a Syria where every citizen enjoys dignity, security, and equality.
