Kurdistan Human Rights Development NGO (KHRD) is honored to announce its participation in the 60th Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), taking place at the UN Headquarters in Geneva.
At this important session, KHRD will present the latest updates on ongoing human rights violations targeting ethnic and religious minorities in Iraq, Iran, Syria, and Turkey. The communities most affected include Kurds, Baloch, Azeris, Druze, and Allawi's, who continue to face systemic discrimination, cultural suppression, and political marginalization.

“Minorities in the Middle East are enduring widespread abuses from arbitrary detention and displacement to restrictions on language, culture, and political participation,” said a spokesperson for KHRD. “Our goal in Geneva is to ensure that these violations are documented, exposed, and addressed by the international community.”
By taking part in the UNHRC’s 60th Session, KHRD reaffirms its commitment to advocating for justice, equality, and the protection of vulnerable communities. The organization will call for stronger international action to end these violations and promote inclusive governance, cultural rights, and fundamental freedoms.
The session in Geneva will bring together governments, international organizations, and civil society groups from around the world. KHRD will use this global platform to amplif
y the voices of marginalized minorities and push for accountability and lasting change.
